The award for the best website of 2018 goes to…
On Saturday night, our Company Director Marilyn accepted the Best Website trophy at the 2018 Maccas Media Awards. The winning site, GoldCoastAustralia.com is one of e-CBD’s largest and longest running websites.
First launched in 1999, the site has had many major makeovers throughout the years with this last award-winning refresh to coincide with the lead up to the Commonwealth Games.
Fresh & Modern Design
For a captivating first impression, the home page was opened up to a full-width layout to take advantage of additional space and maximise the presentation of content, imagery and on-page elements.
Extensive Functionality
The site contains a number of API feeds from various third-party affiliates, such as Booking.com, Ticketmates and Viator, which required extensive development and styling.
Each feed was customised to pull specific data from the API such as URL, rates, address and images, utilising a grid layout which easily stacks and adapts to the device that the visitor is using.
