Google has been warning website owners about the importance of having mobile-friendly websites for some time. Now they’ve confirmed an algorithm change will take place on the 21st April 2015 which will favour mobile-friendly websites in Google’s mobile search results.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In a recent post<\/a> on their Webmaster Central Blog, Google officially announced that the next major update to its search ranking algorithm will directly affect non-mobile friendly websites: <\/p>\n

\u201cStarting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal… Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimised for their devices,\u201d Google said.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
